Born in Australia, Krystie Sargent is an international emerging artist within the Skateboard Art scene who has also worked in the realms of graphic design, illustration and character design.
Having a taste in many creative fields- 3D Design, Graphic Design, Illustration, Web Design, Krystie turned to paint and brushes as an escape from the digital world. Combining her love for the action sports industry, and her love for creation, Krystie has been producing Skateboard Art that often combines menacing characters contrasted with over-the-top, bold colors and geometric shapes. She works without a path, without a destination in mind; it’s a direct flow from mind to “canvas”.
Krystie’s admiration for urban art and the street art character scene strongly influences her work. Recent development in her style- such as a layering and stenciling approach- has enhanced the exciting visual viewing experience.
Beginning August 8th, Krystie Sargent will be exhibiting a new body of work at the ‘Local 88’ art show at The Artery running through August 30th. She will be live painting there on August 15th, 19th, and 28th so drop by, check out her new work and say Hi!
